CAT 2016 Exam: 4 December 2016 Analysis

Most of the students commented on first slot of papers are as following:

CAT 2016, Applicant Review: “The paper was between easy and moderate and quants was based on concept.”

On the basis of students reaction, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning(DI&LR) section was on the difficult side compared to Quantitative Ability. The Verbal Reading Comprehension was on easy to moderate side with comprehensions being lengthy but easy. CAT 2016 had around 15-20 non-mcqs across sections. Last year as well, CAT had a few difficult questions in the DI&LR section while verbal reading comprehension section was on the easier scale of difficulty level.

CAT 2016, Applicant Review: “DI/LR are also equally challenging and it was over all a difficult paper”
 The second slot of CAT 2016 was held from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM across 138 centres. Like the first slot, which was conducted from 9 AM to 12 noon, this slot was similar to that of the first one. The overall difficulty level was moderate with some tough questions asked in every section. Around one lakh test takers are expected to have appeared in this slot.
